Detox Water

Now we all know how important and essential water is for our bodies… or at least we should! A person should drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water a day. In fact, to be properly hydrated, an individual should drink their body weight, divided by two, in ounces. So for example, if you weigh 50 pounds, you should drink 25 ounces of water. The problem is, a lot of people don’t like water or choose it because it’s “plain” or boring etc. But, there’s an easy, healthy and nutritious solution to this! Two words: detox water. Adding fruit or veggies to your water is a quick fix and can make it really tasty! I personally have some favorite combos:

  • Mint, lime and lemons
  • Strawberries and raspberries
  • Pineapple, orange, and mint
  • Cucumber,  mint, and lemon

Adding these to your water can make it taste so much better! Also, I love to make smoothies with water and this counts as part of the daily serving! So drinking water doesn’t have to be boring, it can be colorful and fun!
